Census of Sindhi Population in India:
All the names of Sindhi Panchayats of all the provinces upto village level would be stored in a database (we have already collected almost all the panchayats from Maharashtra, Gujrat and Rajasthan, further process is in offing). A small format will be sent to all the panchayats, requesting them to furnish comprehensive details of Sindhi families, the head of the family with full address, number and name of Children, their educational and professional qualification, the business and any other details of the member who has excelled in any field. This type of compilation will reveal atleast 80 to 90 percent of the population of Sindhis. A special cell in this centre will be created to look after this project.
Extending a Helping Hand to our Sindhi brothers:
Assessment of property loss / loss of sindhi human lives / number of seriously injured persons- determination of compensation, hospitalization & rehabilitation of the following:
In case of natural calamities such as earthquakes, tsunamis and disasters due to communal riots, fire, accidents where sindhi families are adversely affected. This centre will depute a team of 2/3 intelligent, experienced and bold people to these affected places, to access the loss of property and human lives. And thereupon will try to get these victimized families a compensation from the respective provinces, central government or insurance companies as the case may be. Even the matter will be highlighted through electronic and print media.
This team will also identify seriously injured Sindhi young persons who need prolonged treatments for the loss of their limbs or so. This centre will try to get these unfortunate Sindhi souls admitted in various hospitals owned and managed by Sindhi Foundation Trust etc. spread all over the country for free medical treatment.
To pursue the effective correspondence with provincial as well as central government to give awards to our Sindhi Artists in various fields and participation of Sindhi Jhanki on Republic Day. Furthermore, invite artistes to join national and international cultural festivals / Utsav. All the matrimonial centres managed by the sindhis will be connected through internet.
Correspondence with Government Secretariat:
Sindhi Consolidating Centre will pursue the various provincial and Central government through our Sindhi MLAs, MPs and highly placed Sindhi Officials for the disposal and proper decisions on various matters either pending or emerging at various stages. This will certainly boost the moral of our Sindhi people and the sense of self confidence will arise in them, which is very much needed at this juncture.
The centre will certainly take the help of electronic as well as the print media which otherwise hardly any Sindhi dares to get himself involved in.
Political Rights:
To strive for procuring political rights by even bringing amendments in constitution:
We sindhis are the political victims at the time of achieving the independence of our country. Consequently we lost whole of Sindh province, in the grab of Pakistan and live scattered all over Indian provinces. With the result our language, civilization ethos, art and culture, which is base of survival and identity of any community, needs representations in the parliament. All political parties have sympathy and appreciation for Sindhi community, should consider granting us eight to ten seats in Loksabha and few seats in Rajya Sabha by identifying the club of certain provinces where Sindhis could vote for their representatives.
This is possible only when the amendment in the constitution is made. This centre will pursue this matter with various political leaders and influential personalities vigorously.
Laboratories & Research Institutions
Our this centre or institution with whatever name we may call it, would be catalyst institution. It means coordinating and cooperating with hundreds of present social, educational, literary, cultural, health and medical centres, panchayats, charitable organizations, foundations and Sindhi managements of Schools & Colleges etc.To Teach Sindhi Language:
Sindhi provincial Academics, NCPSL, Sindhology and various other NGOs including Sindhi Siksha and Sahitya Sangat with hundreds of individuals or engaged at their own level in their own places.Sindhi Managements of Schools & Colleges:
Sindhi teaching Certificate and Diploma Courses organized by university of Bombay. We will approach and request their provincial universities to start such courses where Sindhi population is in good number.Bal Mandirs:
The centre will pursue various schools and capable panchayats to start Bal-Mandirs in their cities where our children varying from the age of 21/2 years to 5 years could join like on the basis of playway classes and Montessori in convent schoolsEven Sindhi academies can be pursued to start such projects as is being done by Sindhi Education Society. Jhulelal Trust & Municipal School Board in Ulhasnagar. For this the pictorial books in multicolor are required with Sindhi Alphabets or so. Even wall charts are needed. This project can be started by any publication with the financial aid of Sindhi philanthropists.
Sindhi Art:
Prepare the list of various artistes living in the hundreds of pockets in Sindhi colonies, such as Singers, Musicians, Dramatists and other artists. To find out and record the sources where our Sindhi Folk Music and dance is still prevailing such as Jaislmer, Kutch and other parts of India. Sindhology and few other centres can help our centre in this direction.Establish atleast 2 to 4 centres called Art and Culture Centres, in four main cities of India where our youngsters should take the training in various fields of art under the guidance of Director with Master qualification in Art. Our centre will approach the philanthropists of social organizations for this laudable purpose, who otherwise are fond of constructing Dharmashalas or Mandirs with same identical deity.
Mini Libraries:
In view of above exercise, our sisters are now yearning to know our culture and literature folk songs and art. Therefore, we have initially started mini libraries in 10 identified branches. Moreover, the head office inspires them to use audio cassettes, Audio & Video CDs of art and culture in their monthly meetings. The centre office provides them with the above material.
To Create the Sense of Persuasion & Sangharsh:
Under this centre, we not only protest to the government of Gujarat which has resolved to delete Sindhi subject from std. VIII onwards from the year 2005. We lead the delegation along with several representatives of educational institutes of Gujarat and met the commissioner of education of 18 October 2005 at Ahmedabad. With our proper approach based on logical reasons, and on ground realities. We emphasized the government that other linguistic minority students have their home lands in their respective states where they visit during vacations to meet their parents & participate in the family and social gatherings where their mother-tongue is being refurbished. But the Sindhi students have no homeland as such, where they could refurbish their language. They are on the mercy of provincial governments. Hence, the teaching of Sindhi as an optional subject must be retained.
Sindhu Darshan "LEH LADDAKH"
The ministry of culture government of India, the then cultural minister Ms Renuka Choudhary, proposed that the name of "Sindhu Darshan" in Leh (Laddakh) festival should be changed to "Sind Darshan". We protested through our units, newspaper and by submitting memorandums. Our this agitation brought the awareness among Sindhi Community and lot of pressure from other quarters yielded desired results and purpose was achieved.
Sindhi Cultural Centres:
Unless the Astha of Sindhis all over India is not centred in one or two huge magnificent edifices, which can be called the places of pilgrims of Sindhis, the psychology of oneness will not be created. Despite of their cities and provinces, one or two such big centres of Sindhi Pilgrimage are needed. These two or three above mentioned pilgrimage places could be constructed by some saintly Ashrams who have huge fund rather they can procure the funds from various sources. After identifying these saints and sages or their centres, they can be persuaded individually or jointly. Int his magnificently edifices, the ancient history from the period of our ancient civilization upto this date will be encarved like Laxmi Narayan Mandirs (Birla) at Brindavan & Delhi. In these pilgrimage places Akhand Jyot of Jhulelal be placed.
Photo Exhibitions:
Our first and second generations are almost ignorant of our ancient civilization of our warriors, writers, poets, rishis, Saints, Philosophers, social reformers, industrialists, academies who contributed in every field for centuries in Sindh. In fact, these are the sources of information for new generation. Moreover our achievements in various fields after the partition are equally very commendable. Now we propose that a Photo Exhibition containing pictures, right from our ancient civilization till today should be preserved through these photos and periodicals. Exhibitions of these photos should be displayed in each and every city & town where Sindhis are inhabited. Besides that we propose that mini cultural centres should be established in premises of School & Colleges where Sindhi students should visit these semi cultural centres during period of their learning. This exhibition will have audio and video cassettes which will be played and screened where ever it is held.Linguistic Minority Commission:
The facilities and benefits regarding Sindhi Language, Art and Culture etc. should be availed under the linguistic minority commission, under Indian Constitution.Auditorium and Places of Astha:
To encourage the various sindhi agencies to establish auditoriums, Astha Shrines of Sindhi deities so as to imbibe the sense of art and oneness in the sindhi community.

We educated intellectuals holding the vision for betterment of community, are certainly aware that our community being very intelligent and entrepreneur should produce the collectors, the commissioners, the Secretaries etc. who could occupy pivot posts in our government administration.
For this our centre will collect meritorious graduates from various universities every year as soon as the results are declared. Thereafter, this centre will pursue the parent, taking into consideration all the ground realities, to encourage their wards to prosecute the studies for above courses. The needy students could be financially helped through several foundations who generally help the Sindhi students for higher education.
Personality Development:
We think that we all the leading personalities of Sindhi Community in various fields might have observed that bearing the few big cities of India, our youngsters are lacking in qualities which make them a person of distinct personality. For example, they lack in mannerism, eloquence, presenting their ideas, hygienic way of living, dialogues and interaction. Therefore to equip these youngsters and our future generation, the centre would hold personality development seminars and symposiums.
Social Security:
It is a universal maxim that communities, even clans, which share weals and woes together, are closely knitted and thereby the community sense is aroused. We are well aware that unless we, from one consolidation centre do not rush and run to the sufferers who are the victims of natural calamities, communal riots or otherwise, to soothe their sentiments and sufferings, the sense and feelings of oneness will not emerge.
For this the centre will depute its own mature and capable representative to visit the affected places to ascertain the facts and thereafter take the action and highlight the sufferings of our people through electronic and print media and persuade other concerned government agencies to compensate our Sindhi brothers. These approaches will create the sense of Oneness, the comrade and homogeneity of community which is at absent at the moment.
This centre will prepare the list of donors who could contribute to the funds for the purpose in the form of Corpus money to be deposited with very leading personality or reputable institution.
Economic Features:
Our Sindhi community is almost involved in the trading activities because it brings profits quickly without much investment. But certainly this could not be the backbone of our sustaining economy under World’s advanced technology and the economic phenomenon of liberalization and globalization.Obviously our Sindhi entrepreneurs should take the lead in this race of technology. Therefore, huge industries or trading houses with wide dimensions of collaboration of multi-national companies are needed. To achieve this indispensable object, the centre would organize symposiums, seminars, lectures with present managements of huge industries & trading houses. We should start the movement by educating our Sindhis living in different places to start co-operative credit societies and banking, so that the huge funds required for the above purpose ought to be made available.
Newspapers & Journalists
At present 20% of our total Sindhi population in India is much more connected through newspapers owned and published by Sindhis in several provincial languages which numbers more than 300 dailies, weekly, fortnightly and monthly together. It is loosely a convention that the editor or owner exchange their issues, particularly the periodicals so that we pickup the news pertaining Sindhi Jagat to publish in our respective issues. But 80% of Sindhi population is deprived of the news pertaining to Sindhi Jagat. Not only that, but day to day achievements of Sindhis all over the world are not being highlighted due to the non availability of news agency. Therefore now there is a need to open Sindhi News Agency Section which should sell the news at very subsidized rates to various newspapers who can subsequently publish it in their newspapers. Thereby Sindhis all over the world will be connected through these columns and secondly, youngsters will feel proud of the achievements of the community as a whole in various fields.
This centre will rightly endeavor in this direction by installation of Fax, facilitation of Email and Tele-printers etc.
Special Features (Few Instances)
Exhibition of Films, Audio, VCD on the moving Van-cum-Projector displaying Photos. From September to may every year this Van fitted with equipment will visit the villages, towns, cities, identified well in advance, where our organizational unit and respective Sindhi Panchayats will co-operate with this team. They will show the Sindhi films, CDs of Dramas and other cultural programs on the portable screen and will simultaneously promote the sale of these audio VCD materials. The photo exhibition consisting of about 1000 Photos will be showcasing from Indus valley civilization till this day of our achievements in India and abroad.
Inter state/District Tour of Sindhi Children aged 9 to 14 years
We are scattered in more than 2500 cities, towns and villages in India. As a result our children, who are the fathers of our community, have been influenced by different local languages, ways of living, mode of eating and drinking due to different environments. At the same time, our children are to some extent deprived of our Sindhi speaking, way of life and mannerism etc. Consequently with the passage of time, the children of one province will look very different to their counterparts. Through this, given the current process, the Sindhyat will extinct. Kaash! This may not happen.

Hence, this scheme has been visioned where the Sindhi children aged 9 to 14 yrs will be visiting other provinces/district in the group of 20-25; Staying with different families as two children in each family. The interaction of the children will create among themselves the oneness by moving, eating, and playing together. This will kindle the jyot of Sindhyat among them.
